SF Group are currently recruiting for a Financial Controller/ Accounts Manager for a growing manufacturing business in North Nottingham. This is a newly created role due to a restructure, and offers a lot of exposure across the business and to the Senior Management Team.
As the Financial Controller/ Accounts Manager you will be reporting directly into the Managing Director with dotted line exposure to the group central shared services team.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the Central accounts team in preparation of monthly and annual accounts Including monthly P&L and group reports
- Analysing month end accounts and producing reports of findings on the business performance for SMT including any variance analysis
- Monitor and evaluate process operation costs, analysis by cost centres and individual product reviews
- Monthly P&L review and analysis, identify cost saving opportunities
- Preparation of annual Budgets and periodic forecasts
- Supporting with statutory reporting and external audit support
- Approval and submission of VAT, PAYE payments and other statutory reporting
- Management of Export procedures and reporting
- Support cash collection, payment allocation, statement processing, banking
- Support Purchase Ledger clerk, Purchase Order control, invoice checking and authorisation, payment approvals
- Payroll processing to include weekly hours calculation and department analysis, Monthly payroll processing, department labour costs analysis.
- Maintenance of site HR including attendance records, holiday records, maintenance of personnel files, pension administration
- Supply chain administration including order processing, planning and scheduling, communication and direction, component tracking and records, supplier liaison and negotiation
You will have experience within finance (AAT qualified, ACA/ACCA/CIMA part qualified or Qualified by experience) with previous experience working in manufacturing as a Management Accountant, bookkeeper or company administrator. You will have previous knowledge of cost analysis, purchase ledger, month end, P&L, bank account. You will have good IT and systems skills including Excel and experience of SAP would be an advantage but not essential.
This is a fantastic hands on, all round role where you will be a central part of the business with senior level exposure.
