Description
As a Head of HR you will:
* Develop and implement strategy to ensure that the HR function delivers objectives consistent with the business aims and objectives.
* Effectively manage and control all HR operational processes, systems and data maintenance in accordance with legislative and business requirements.
* Provide specialist guidance and ensure business compliance with all appropriate employment legislation.
* Effectively manage and successfully conclude all Employee Relations issues.
* Implement and continually review individual and site wide training and development plans in order to meet the business objectives and carry out all requirements including the Performance Review processes.
* Implement an effective staff resourcing strategy which supplies the business with the quality of people required to achieve the business objectives within appropriate cost and timescale parameters.
* Manage all employee welfare issues including short and long term absence/health issues.
Profile
You will have:
* Thorough understanding of employment legislation in blue collar environment.
* Working knowledge of computerised personnel systems, preferably iTrent.
* Training experience - development and delivery.
* Practical understanding of administrative procedures and documentation.
* Financial acumen, numerate and previous budgetary experience.
* Thorough understanding of the theory of change.
* Resourcing methods and options.
* Prior provision of a progressive and professional service to a large population of personnel.
* Prior practical experience of working as a competent member of a team of senior managers.
